Hello,

There is some questions customer posted on DLO. Hope can get some feedback / answers here.

Q1. Does DLO supports De-duplication? If yes, is it client level de-duplication ?

Q2. How does the DLO de-duplication works?

1) Client-side DeDupe.

2) DeDupe occurs only when a file is completely new, meaning the first revision of the file will be deduplicated. Once this file changes, the backup mode switches from DeDupe to Delta. During Delta mode, the delta changes are first computed on the DUDF and then copied over to the NUDF (Network User Data Folder). The DLO Admin Guide will contain more detailed information on DLO DeDup.
