Mgmt of DLO Agents

We currently have a Backup Exec 2010R3 environment running on a Windows 2008 R2 server connected to a Quantum Scaler i40 tape carrier.

We are going to evaluate the DLO agent but backup 10 - 20 laptops and desktops but arent clear on the management of the agents and any interoperbility between DLO and our full Backup Exec environment. Had a couple questions I was having a hard time getting a clear answer on.

1. Can DLO agents be managed through BE 2010? Is there any interoperbility between DLO and the FUll Backup Exec 2010?

2. If not then is it common to run the DLO Management Console on the same server as Backup Exec?

3. Can the DLO agent leverage the same tape library that our BE agents can?

Hi,

You should get all your answers in the TN below, especially on where to manage the DLO environment. BE 2010 R3 was the last version to ship with DLO as part of the application. BE 2012 saw DLO being split off.
