New laptop is taking too long to charge

I just got a new HP envy x360 today, it’s been plugged in for like 5 hours (watched some YouTube and listened to Spotify a while ago) but it’s only at 59%. I read online that the first time you charge a new laptop you should leave it plugged in for a while. But I just feel like it’s charging too slow. Should I be concerned? Maybe leave it plugged in all night?

Re: New laptop is taking too long to charge

The first time the laptop is switched on, it should be connected to a power supply. It is essential as stated in the user manual of the laptop to plug it into an electricity port.

So let the laptop charge for a while, before you use it. If still the issue persists after you try this solution, then check the batteries of the laptop to find out whether they are swollen or not.

Cheers.
