Not able to configure Symantec DLO7.5 Deduplication server

Hi all ,

I have a installed Symantec DLO 7.5 softwares in a windows server 2012 machine .I need to configure deduplication server in dlo but getting an error while configuring. error is "the dedup details you have entered is invalid or their is no dedup server is running at the sepcified location" (Screenshot attached)

So i need a solution for this error .

Hi,

Check whether the Dedupe Server is in ‘Active’ state.

Enter the following URL in the browser.

HTTPS://DedupeServerHostName\IP:8443 OR
HTTP://DedupeServerHostName\IP:8080

Make sure the SQL Server Browser service is running -- the DLO uses port 1434 or 1435 -- if this service isn't running it can cause the error you received.
