Symantec DLO 7.0 console is not opening...

Hi,

For one of my client, we migrate Backup Exec 2010 DLO to Symantec DLO 7.0

its worked fine for some time, after that its very slow to backup data to storage location and also its very slow to open Symantec DLO 7.0 console, after few days, Symantec DLO console 7.0 is not opening, so we opened case with symantec, they ask us to reinstall Symantec DLO 7.0 and recover database.

can anyone how to reconfigure exisitng database with Symantec DLO 7.0.

means, how to recover existinf database with new Symantec DLO 7.0 with same server.

...not to be funny, but call them back & tell them to help you. It's what you pay maintenance on a yearly basis for. If you don't know how to do so, and have opened a valid call, then tech support should actually be assisting you!

There are 2 ways you can go about.

1) If you have backed up the DLO database using DLO maintenance. You can then run the following command (egs) - DLODBUtils -restore -databasefile "c:\backup\DLO.bak"

2) If you have a copy of the DLO database (.mdf & .ldf)

Install DLO 7.0. Do not launch the DLO console post the installation. Stop all DLO services including the SQL instance. Cut & paste the newly created .mdf & .ldf (from \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec DLO\Data) to an alternate location. Paste the older copy if the .mdf & .ldf in the Data directory. Restart all services & launch the console.
