When creating a new Storage Location in the Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO) console fails with "V-138-57364-5 Access denied"

Unable to ceate the directory '\\DLO-Storage' on computer 'STORAGE-DC'.  Please check the path does not reside on a read-only device such as a CD-ROM drive and that the DLO database servcie '' logon account has sufficient permissions to create the directory.  You can change the long account via the Services control panel.  Service returned error code 0x738b7200.

Can anybody help me correct the issue?

Hi Craig,

thanks for u r inputs  i have changed all three options

The two services above should be set as the Domain Administrator account.

• SQL Server (BKUPEXEC)
• Backup Exec DLO Administration Service

The service above should be set to Local System Account

• Backup Exec Maintenance Service

still i am getting same error

Is this share on a remote server?

If yes than try to add the DLO Database service account for that drive and give the FULL Control NTFS permission and see if that helps.

Other thing you can check if there is any DNS or LDAP query issues. you need to check the DC for any security related error for the account that is being used to create the storage location.
