logs show clients error backing up "failed to copy to desktop user data folder"

since upgrading to dlo 8.0sp1, some clients are not backing up properly, and are getting errors in the log, "failed to copy to desktop user data folder".  when I try to run the job manually on the client, it gets the same error

"failed to copy to desktop user data folder" is the error message when the local backup fails.

Do ensure the user has complete permissions over the DUDF path. (Default is under C:\)

Do ensure there is no size quota set for the DUDF via DLO or via the OS itself.

Check the event viewer and the logs for a detailed error message. It will usually mention a reason as to why local copy failed.
