Hi Team,

We are using Symantec DLO 7.5 sp1 on win-2008 r2 server.

On the restore pane we are not able to restore the user's data. I had attached the screenshot.

We are not using Dedupe feature.

Thanks

Are you logged in to the SDLO console using a limited Administrator account or an administrator account which has full permissions such as ability to restore ?

From the SDLO UI, click on Network and Administrator accounts. Confirm the account which you have used to login has full restore permissions.

Secondly, are the restore selections not seen for this specific user or it cannot be seen for other users as well ? This usually happens due to lack or permissions at the NUDF or if there is an issue with the user's recovery file.

Lastly, as restore is a priority, consider restoring the files using the "Emergency restore"  method and here is a KB article - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO23625

Hi

I  am using DLO 7.5  sp1  with dedupe feature. Restore tab and history tab shows backup completed. But there is no data to restore. NUDF folder is empty for all users but could see dedupe folder is filled.

How can we restore data please provide solution on same.

Hi,

When dedupe enabled backups is done the metadata information will be stored in NUDF and original data will be stored in dedupe folder.

While restoring will first read the metadata information which has the pointers to the data present in the dedupe folder.

Which is missing in this case.

So can you please clarify the below queries:

1. Is there any deletion of user triggered on the DLO Admin console.

2. Is files have been deleted from source(backup selection) folders?

Thanks,
Santosh.
