Discovery Accelerator SSRS reports problem - Event ID 405

Hi

Running EV 9.0.2 + DA/CA 9.0.2

We have an ongoing issue with DA reporting ever since we moved to new hardware (from 2003 to 2008R2). DA reporting used to work perfectly in the old environment.

Now when I try to run a report in DA, I get this event logged on the DA server:

Event ID 405

APP AS - Customer ID: 2 - An error occurred retrieving the report snapshots. System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

at System.DateTimeParse.Parse(String s, DateTimeFormatInfo dtfi, DateTimeStyles styles)

at KVS.Accelerator.Application.SSRS_Reports.GetReportSnapshots()

I can connect to the reporting server fine in the DA client, but when I create a new report, nothing seems to happen in the client, but if I browse the reporting server (e.g. http://myserver/DA_Reporting) I can see my report there OK.

CA reporting works fine via the client EXCEPT if the client is started as the service account. For DA, it doesn't work if we start it with the service account, or another account that has rights in DA.

I have a case logged with Symantec but we're not making much progress.

Any suggestions welcome!

Reporting can be loads of fun!  :)

So when you moved to the new server did you do a fresh install of reporting?  Are the EV reports working ok otherwise?

When we moved CA and DA to new servers (2003 to 2008R2), I re-uploaded the reports via the EVBAADMIN websites.

We don't have EV reporting set up, just CA and DA reporting.

Here are the symptoms:

1. Run CA client as VSA, try to run report. It appears to work but nothing is saved in the client, nor do I see the report. However, if I go to the reporting server and browse (http://myreportingserver/CA_DA_Reporting), then I can see and run my report directly in Reporting Services

2. Run CA client as a normal user who has rights, no problems at all

3. Run DA client as VSA or a normal user who has rights, try to run report. It appears to work but nothing is saved in the client, nor do I see the report. However, if I go to the reporting server and browse (http://myreportingserver/CA_DA_Reporting), then I can see and run my report directly in Reporting Services
