Discovery Accelerator and Deleted Vault Stores

The version of DA and EV is 8 SP2. The production environment has empty Vault Stores. In a test lab I created a few empty Vault Stores. I then created a DA case which contains the empty vault stores. I deleted the empty vault stores and confirmed that they are no longer visible in the VAC. On the DA side of things I believe all the sync settings are correct. Still, the deleted Vault Stores show in the case properties. Also, if I add a new case the Site still shows the deleted vault stores. Restarting the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager Service seems to be of no avail.

Archives and Vault Stores are not removed from Discovery Accelerator via sync.  This is by design.

You can however exclude them from searches globally.
