Hello all,

EV11.0.1 CHF5, DA12.2.2

We've been playing with Custodian Manager, having resulted in having a custodian database. We now would like to start from scratch. We have not used custodians from this database in any case/search.

Is it possible to somehow remove the custodian manager database, and start fresh?

Regards. Gertjan

Hello Virgil, thanks for the reminder.

Below the steps as advised by Vrts Support.

Pertaining to your request to remove and recreate the DACustodianManager database from the DA Configuration, customer has been advised that it is possible to do this, provided they no longer need any of the searches used in their testing as the new Custodian Manager db may have different AddressOwnerID values for the custodians. If the above is not a problem, then customer has been advised to follow the steps below:

1. Delete the DA CustodianManager (CM) customer from the EVBAAdmin site.

2. Delete the DA CustodianManager (CM) database from SQL Server Management Console so that the db and all its files will also be deleted.

3. Follow through the steps to recreate a new DA CustodianManager (CM) customer in the EVBAAdmin site.

Regards. Gertjan

Hi Gertjan, Not sure if this is still of interest since the post is almost 6 months old. I may be wrong, but I believe it is possible to recreate the Custodian DB since it is essentially a collection of users, distribution lists or other AD containers.
