ingesting a users .PST files for use with Discovery Accelerator, without the contents showing up in the users mailbox?

Hi folks, is there a discrete process for ingesting a users .PST files for use with Discovery Accelerator(EV/DA9.2), without the contents showing up in the users mailbox? As in we don’t want them to know the .pst’s have been ingested? Does this make sense?

You don't have to created shortcuts but he user will still see the items if they use Archive Explorer or Virtual Vault.

You could copy the pst's and then import them into a Shared Archive.

Remember, when you import the PST it will empty them out, so if you want them left intact you should copy them and import the copy.

We decided to use the Shared Archive feature of the Vault. It’s basically a Vault account with no corresponding AD account.  It would appear in DA as another user.  They would have to give us the PSTs and we import them manually.  It has worked well so far. Thanks Tony!
