How to Clone Hard Disk Drive

Please i need help,how i can i clone hard disk to hard disk by using symaning Product linle
- Symantec backup Exec System Recovery 2010
- Symantec Ghost Soulation 2.5

You can also use BESR just click tools in the console and then disk copy!

I have a question. When you say clone does that mean copy a complete hard drive? For example hard drive A has 75% files saved in it. Then you try to clone it (either ghost or system recovery) it will copy all the 75% files in the hard drive B?

BESR will clone the partition information and the data as it is on the source disk.

Hi,

  this is what you have to do:

- download from fileconnect the recovery cd iso of besr 2010 or new Symantec System Recovery 2011

- power down the pc and attach the second hard drive to the machine

- power on the pc and boot from recovery cd

- select clone

You can use a second solution:

- the first point is the same

- power on pc and boot from recovery pc

- make an image of pc on a network share or external drive (backup option)

- when finish you can shut down the source pc

- power on the desitnation pc

- boot from the boot cd

- restore image you have created (restore option)

- if the hardware is different remember to check the restore anywhere option

When finish reboot pc.
