The primary focus of this early Beta phase (there will be a 2nd phase later this year) is to focus on the new Smart-reconcile capability:
- Provides Symantec System Recovery with the smart-reconcile capability, resulting in faster incremental backups after an operating system failure (e.g. unexpected shutdown/reset).
- For performing smart-reconcile, Symantec System Recovery now uses a new change tracking driver called Vtrack
Enhanced error handling mechanism
- Provides filtered and more relevant search results when you click the Unique Message Identifier (UMI) link for an error. The enhanced error handling mechanism helps you to resolve errors more easily.
Improved installation program
- Includes several usability and performance enhancements to give you a faster and better installation experience.
The 2nd Beta phase will introduce more new functionality.
