- Salesforce enhancements – We’ve added support for custom objects,
files, and attachments – we know this feature has been highly anticipated, and we are proud to deliver! We have also added the ability to configure how many API requests VSB makes to Salesforce to allow for more aggressive data transfers for initial backups – which can be scaled back once the first pass is complete.
- Job Monitor Improvements – We listened to our customers around needing visibility into status, even when the service is being taken care of by another vendor. We’ve been steadily adding more detail to the job monitor; in this release, we have added more information around job failures and skipped items to ensure admins are up-to-date on their data protection status.
Salesforce recently announced they are retiring their data protection service on July 31st, due to the service not meeting their high standards for recovery time and reliability. In their announcement, they encouraged customers to investigate third party solutions to meet data protection needs – and with our latest Salesforce enhancements, Veritas SaaS Backup can provide reliable protection with multiple restore options and speedy recovery.
