It was great to see so many of you at AWS re:invent 2022 where Veritas was proud to be a platinum sponsor! re:invent provided us a great opportunity to showcase some of our latest and greatest solutions for the public cloud. We also talked about our new unified cloud data management platform – Veritas Alta – as well as the many ways Veritas integrates with cloud services.
There were several topics that came up during the show last week. Here are some of the highlights:
Availability – Veritas InfoScale is one of the best solutions on the market for providing application-aware high availability for IT services running in the public cloud. It was nice to see strong interest in how you can use cloud multiple zones, regions, and even multi-cloud configurations to make your applications more highly available
Protection – being able to optimize your backup and recovery operations using the cloud has always been a focus for Veritas. It was exciting being able to showcase the latest and greatest developments in data protection specifically for cloud and hybrid-cloud environments. In particular, the single pane of glass to manage your hybrid cloud environment.
Performance – part of being able to provide enterprise availability and protection for IT services is ensuring performance, and you saw how Veritas can help improve performance for both primary application operations as well as data protection operations. With features like autoscaling that can increase resource availability on-demand, you always have the performance you need to provide reliable data protection for workloads running in the cloud
Another very popular topic was containers and how this market is evolving. Many of you were interested in talking about what we do for newer workloads, including microservices. It was fun being able to showcase how Veritas now provides enterprise storage and data protection for Kubernetes environments! As this is a newer solution for Veritas, many of you hadn’t seen or heard about it before and we were interested to see what makes us interesting when it comes to Kubernetes. You may remember this solution view from our booth demos and theater presentations – availability and resiliency for Kubernetes:

All this only scratches the surface. In the coming months, you’ll hear a lot more about Veritas Alta – our new unified cloud data management platform that has been designed to enable intelligent transformation and optimization for your applications – whether they’re already in the cloud or are in the process of moving to the cloud. The best part: many of the new and exciting services Veritas Alta offers will be available well before you head off to AWS re:invent in 2023!
