9.0.1 client - is there a non-http-only version coming?

We're using the 8.0 SP4 client on Outlook 2007 (*not* using http over rpc).  We'd like to upgrade to 9.x.

I downloaded the 9.0.1 client, but this doesn't appear to be applicable to the Outlook 2007 clients in our environment, as the filename is:

Symantec Enterprise Vault HTTP-Only Outlook Add-in-en.msi

Previously, we've used:

Symantec Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in-en.msi

Will the release at the end of the year include an updated non-http version as well?

Any major defects in 9.0 that should make us consider waiting?

I think this has been addressed a few times, but i believe what was stated that the client will remain HTTP only forever with the DCOM functionality (such as vault tabs, restore locations etc) being available through the newer clients

Oh and the HTTP Only 9.0.1 client is for Outlook 2010
I use EV9 full client for my Outlook 2007 no problems

You can use the 9.0.1 client on :-

Outlook 2003

Outlook 2007

Outlook 2010 32 bit

Outlook 2010 64 bit

So provided you don't need any of the DCOM client functionality, you can roll out the one MSI to everyone.

The DCOM client functionality such as :

* Specifying a destination archive when you do store-in-vault from the add-in

* Being able to restore to a specific folder

* Viewing the EV properties of a folder

... these are going to be reviewed and added to future releases, however there is no timeframe of when that will be right now.
