Access another users Vault in Exchange.

In IT we are sometimes asked to use ExMerge to gather and view a user's PST copy of their Exchange mailbox for investigative purposes. We are running into an issue when trying to access a vaulted message "Symantec Enterprise Vault - Error. You do not have access to this vault." Is there a way from the Vault server or from Exchange to set permissions for our forensics team so they can view these messages?

You can do it manually:
1. Open the VAC (Vault Admin Console).
2. Expand Archives => Exchange Mailbox.
3. In the right hand pane, select the user whose vault is to be accessed, Right Click and select "Properties".
4. Click on the "Permissions" tab.
5. Click on the "Add" button and select the user(s) and/or Group(s) to add to view this vault and Click "OK".

Or use EVPM
