Accessing EV over Fortigate

Hi Folks,

I have a Customer who is NATing the EV-Page over a Fortigate. The strage issue is that entering https://evserver+domain/ leads to the IIS Start page of the EV-Server. Entering https://evserver+domain/EnterpriseVault/ leads to a Website not found.

When I enter the Public IP Addres https://PublicIPofEV/EnterpriseVault/ everything works fine. Binding in IIS does reply to all Domains without restrictions.

Anyone has any Ideas on what to look for and what to check.

I am out of ideas.

Thanks for any input

try installing Fiddler2
http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2/version.asp

Enable SSL listening on it
then with Fiddler open, open IE and get the webpage not found
I believe in the headers it should tell you what server responded

well i guess the thing you'd have to look at is the IIS logs and see whether /EnterpriseVault/ is even being called when you try to access the EV Server...

My guess is its simply redirecting to another server with IIS

Hi Alex,

thats actually a good Idea, I will look into that. The strage thing is that a DNS-Lookup from the outside yields the IP Address I am then using for the url call with the IP in the next step.

Thanks,

Holger
