Hi all I have a client that no matter what I do I cannot see the users mailbox in the enabled mailbox list. Even if I try and sync the mailboxes I don't have see the mailboxes, but if I go to change the task settings I can see all mailboxes. We recreated the provisioning task, the provisioning group and the archiving task still no luck. The provisioning task was still running when I left the office so I am hoping it resolves the issue but I don't think it will. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this situation?

Can you confirm the mailboxes are not in the disabled mailbox list?

If the mailboxes are not in the disabled mailbox list, then those mailboxes could be hidden.

Hidden mailboxes can be processed if you add the following registry key:

HKLM\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents
ProcessHiddenMailboxes 1

Hidden mailboxes are not shown in the Enterprise Vault Console.

You can make them temporaly visible by executing the following query:

Use EnterpriseVaultDirectory
update ExchangeMailboxEntry
Set MbxExchangeState='0' where MbxExchangeState='2'

After executing the query, restart the VAC and press the button disable (mailboxes must be listed)

Bear in mind that at the next run of the provisioning task status of the mailboxes will set again to '2' hidden and not visible in the VAC.

Please let us know weather or not is this the case.

Kind regards.
