Hi,

I our labs we did the following:

  • Migrate Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010
  • Upgraded Enterprise Vault 8.0.4 to 9.0.2.

All upgrade where successful. Almost everything work fine, except a new user (exchange 2010 native) accessing via MAPI when it access an archive items is ask for credential, if correct the user can access the archive items, if the user access via OWA it work fine.

For user still in Exchange 2003, or user migrated to Exchange 2010 this misbehavior does not happen.
The TECH56220 does not apply, It look like an user problem but I don´t know where to begin, user have the same group, are in the same Mailbox database, same client host.

PS: this is an lab.

"Add server to intranet zone (Exchange Outlook setting)" with the value equal to the server name (ex. vaultserver) in exch 2003+ vault 8.0.4 worked but in ev9.0.2+exch2010 only work with FQDN (ex. vaultserver.lab.local)

PS: This behavior also occur with a new windows profile.

don't suppose you could post a client log when it attempts to connect and it asks for credentials?

what'd be great is if you hold CTRL-SHIFT and press one of the EV icons such as Store In Vault, Restore From Vault etc, then from the popup choose Maximum Tracing and then restart Outlook, if you then reproduce the issue, hold CTRL and one of the EV icons, this will open the log in notepad.

Save the log out and then attach it here if you can?
