Dear forum,
did you already experience some cases where the Archive Explorer View gets corrupted after an upgrade with the path 7.5.5 -> 8.0.5 -> 9.0.2?
We have a current case where The Archive Explorer view of quite a large number of users is not complete/not there anymore and this was noted just shortly after the upgrade.
Analysis of the ArchiveFolderView lead to the conclusion that for the affected mailboxes there are multiple Folders with ParentFolderRootIdentity set to NULL - therefore Archive Explorer is unable to build the view correctly. Opening the items from shortcuts or search result works fine, which confirms that it is only an AE display error.
My questions:
Thanks for your input!

Hi Simon,
Look at these. You might want to call into support, perhaps they hava a query to resolve this for you.

Thanks Percy, that was actually a good hint. Got the utility from support and from the documentation it looks like it should be able to perform exactly what I am looking for.
I will perform some tests on a single affected mailbox shortly and post the results

Simon,
Yes, I have the exact problem you faced. I went through the same migration paths and found 28 mailboxes AE were corrupted after the upgrade. Symantec tech support said the ONLY way to resolve the archive explorer issue was using the solution proposed in article http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH66934. I am glad someone from Symantec tech support knows the product well enough to recommend a better solution. I'll definately give it a try and report back with the result.
For those that going to use the solution proposed in the TECH66934, if you have Centera as Vault Store and can't remove the corrupted archive, you need to incorrporate the EVPM utility to disassociate the corrupted archive and rebuild a new archive before doing the import process. Check out the Symantec Utility Guide in Page 154 for syntax.
