Archiving Exchange archived mails ?

Hi there,

can anybody answer me the following question:

One of our long-term EV customes, still using Exchange 2007, has acquired another company with an Exchange 2010 Server using Exchange archiving.

The question is now, if it is possible to use EV to archive these Exchange archived mails.

Technically, this should not be a problem, but I have no possibilities to test this (missing licenses). I am really sure, that if this is possible, EV creates another archive, because the Archiving Mailbox is technically another mailbox.

Enterprise Vault can not archive from the Exchange Personal Archive.

There are third party companies, such as QUADROtech which have tools that can migrate the data from Exchange 2010 personal archives into Enterprise Vault.

If you need to evaluate your options, TransVault can migrate this data as well. You can migrate into an existing user archive in EV and would not have to create another archive (if you didnt want to).
