Assign permissions to mailbox archive

I have several mailbox archives that belong to users who have been terminated, and their Exchange mailboxes have been deleted. I want to assign permission to another user for the archive of the terminated user, but cannot. I get a message saying I need to enter an existing Windows NT account name. Is there a way around this?

This might also be referring to the billing account. Change that to one that is legit. Cheers
