Authentication Required to retrieve archived mail with attachments

This happens to some of our users (probably more than I know of since they rarely access their archived email) but when they try and open an email with an attachment a login window appears(fqdn = evault.domain.local) and once they use their domain credentials it opens with no problem. Myself and a few others that I have checked with have no problem but we of course have elevated rights. I am not sure where to start as the rest of their mail works fine??

are you absolutely 100% sure its just items with attachments?
have you checked the intranet zone or trusted sites to make sure that the server requesting for the login is listed?
also when it pops up for users does it have credentials already listed in there or is it a blank pop up?

Thanks for the reply, I revised my googling and based on your answer and a couple others I found I checked the intranet sites item and our server was NOT in there. I did add it in there and am waiting on the next sync process. There were no credentials pre-filled. As for the other items, they worked fine and if you clicked cancel on the credential box the email item came up (just with no attachment!)
