Hey guys,
we are creating a so called "Vaultautoarchivefolder", this is a folder created in the mailbox of the user which has some policies over EVPM assigned, that each E-Mail will get immediately archived which is placed there.
I have a question to the understanding of this: is it necessary that the archiving task is scheduled for running, to archive the whole content of the folder immeiately or should this also happen when the archiving task is scheduled for example during the night and the user places E-Mails theire during the day time?
When I run archiving of some items manually, should they also get archived when the archiving task isn't scheduled for?
Best Regards,
baschi - thanks a lot

The archive task must be processing to archive items out of the mailbox. It only "processes" when either you have it scheduled or you do a "run now". Scheduled tasks will cycle through the mailboxes during the scheduled time, run-now only runs through the mailboxes once.
Manual archiving will only archive the highlighted items or folders, not the entire mailbox.
