Hi there, Is anyone here running backups using this new agent.. Available from 6.5.4 onwards. Is there a way to granularly restore individual items . Let's say u user accidentally deleted an archived email and now he wants that restored. Possible? All I see is the partition level file strutures organised as per DVS file? Possible to search for email items based in subject/dates/ sent / received from fields?any info in netbackup for ev will be appreciated. Thanks merve

With the nature of EV Data (SQL Links, DVSSP, DVSCC, DVS etc) i don't think that will ever be possible.
that being said, i know theres a third party product that hooks in to the dumpster and allows undelete of individual items

I don't believe you can do that..

Remember that EV has deleted item retention (if enabled, I think the default is 14 days of recovery time).
Working for cloudficient.com

Thanks. just wanted some confirmation that the feature wasn't there. What you are talking about is the dumpster which does not allow individual item restores if I'm not wrong unlike outlooks /exchange deleted items recovery. It's a all or nothing restore at archive level. Let's say you wanna enable storage expiry but just in case you di a full backup. Is there a way to selective restore an itemwhich was deleted due to storage expiry? Any idea if granular restore is planned for EV ?similar to the feature in exchange where if we do mbx level backups we can restore down to message level. Merve

 Thanks Jesuswept.
Will definitely look at the vcare tool. It's cool that it exist..Hopefully there's a trial download I can test.

As a long workaround Is there a way to export the list of dumpster files e.g. via an sql query and from there track down the files via netbackup...hmm..just thinking aloud here.
