Best practice for un-vaulting users?

Mark_Shoger

My client recently decided to terminate their EV project and wants all of the users "un-vaulted" pretty soon. However, when we tested the Export to PST, it created numerous PSTs with parts of folders across all of them.

Is there a way to export based on date? Is there a best practice around exporting someone who has a very, very large vault?

Any help would be appreciated,

Mark

You could just export to a.n.other number of PSTs and then put a script together using a bit of VBScript and CDO to "join" the PSTs up.

Couple of thoughts :

EV 9.0.2 will allow you to export into PSTs up to 20 Gb...

Or you could export back to the mailbox store, provided the customer is ready for uber large Exchange databases.

Yeah, that's not going to work. We're on 8.0.3 with no possibility of upgrading (due to the decommissioning) and don't have the luxury of exporting back into Exchange.

Any other ideas? We're looking at the SysTools PST Merge and Split at this point...
