Dear Sirs,

We have a Windows 2008 Std Edition , Exchange 2007 server on which we have 60 Users, Above all we have EV for Exchange, Everything is hopefully working other than those who have BIS Service .

Users Configured with Blackberry BIS service gets another set of Yesterday Whole set of mail which is archived today at a predetermined Time , All mails which was archieved today at 1400 hrs will be pushed to the blackberry device.

Is there any solution for the same

Regards

Jerry Mathews

Also i don't know if BIS can do this, but you can set up your BES to not sync mail thats older than a certain date, so even though it might be modified , it won't forward it, meaning that if your archiving  rules set to archive anything 30 days or older , set your blackberry not to send anything 30 days or older also.

But again that depends if BIS has BES like capabilities, but really though, this isn't an EV issue, its a Blackberry issue

Hello Jerry,

I've re-read your posting about 4 times, but do not understand what you are asking. Could you explain a little more?

can't you set the blackberry not to forward items with a certain message class?
its really a question for your BES Admins though

Like GertjanA, I'm having trouble figuring out your question, but I'll take a stab at it, because if I'm reading it right it's an issue I've seen before.

If your Blackberry server is configured to send new messages to Blackberries, when emails are archived the Blackberry server may be interpreting the shortcuts as new messages and re-sending them. In order to stop this from happening, you'll need to configure the Blackberry server to skip messages with a message class of IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.

Right now, Enterprise Vault doesn't support mobile devices (see: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/281585.htm) so this sort of behavior isn't surprising, since EV doesn't have a way to know whether a user is using Outlook or a Blackberry.
