CA/DA 'Configuration' Database

Hey All-

 

Just messing witH CA/DA....do these 2 products use teeh same 'configuration' and 'customer' databases??  The docuemntation is a little foggy.

Yes, they are separate but the default names are the same.  I have actually suggested making the defaults different for this reason as it can be confusing.

 

When you are going to be installing CA and DA on the same sql server you need to change the default names to avoid the confusion and problems with the applications.

Just checked my SQL Databases and it appears there is the following:

 

EVDA_Customer

EVDA_Configuration

EVCA_Customer

EVCA_Configuration

 

So safe to say they are all separate.  Also, it is important to note that these two applications may not be installed on the same Vault Server.
