CPUs with Enterprise Vault 10.0.4

I notice that the recommended minimum number of CPUs is 8 for Enterprise Vault 10 but our installation on ESX doesn't appear that it would really require more than 4-5.  Only hitting 65% utilization during archiving for an hour to two.  Are there any concerns with reducing the number of cpus to 6?

It sounds like you've got things in order, and are actively monitoring the usage.  So continue to do that and reduce to 6 CPUs for now.

Hello Don,

As you stated, the recommended processor cores is 8 but the minimum is 4 cores. You should be OK with 6 cores in your VM. Just keep monitoring the Enterprise Vault server if more mailboxes are added for archiving or if you add more load to the server such as FSA archiving or enable Vault Cache/Virtual Vault.

I hope this helps.
