Hi guys,

For Disaster Recovery purpose, we had 2 physical site for our environment, SiteA and SiteB, but still within single domain.

We had the following setup:
Site A - Exchange Server (EX01) and EV Server (EV01)
Site B - Exchange Server (EX02) and EV Server (EV02)

There are setting up with individual EV directory; EV01 will archive email from EX01, EV02 will archive email from EX02.

We had some group of user are sharing some mailbox, example custome service operator. They are given FULL right to access the share mailbox and access it via Outlook.

We found out if their mailbox is located SiteA and they are accessed share mailbox located SiteB, this user had some issue; they are not able to read the content of archived email, not able delete archived email, or restore the archived email.

Anyone have some scenario, or any workaround for this type of environment ? Please advice.

Thank you  for your help in advance.

regard,
Eric Yeoh

Under policies, advanced tab, outlook, add the WebApp URL for the second site and sync the users. See if that helps.

The format is displayed when you click on the setting.

So I am reading this as you have got 2 ev servers and 2 exchange servers in 2 geographically different sites but the 2 ev servers are within the same enterprise vault site. Is that correct? As a starter for 10 can you ensure the following has been implemented for your users:-

Hi Paul,

We have got 2 ev servers and 2 exchange servers in 2 geographically different sites but
the 2 ev servers are NOT within the same enterprise vault site.

We had 2 EV sites, and it had it own EV directory separately.

As the other person posted, try this http://support.veritas.com/docs/278332 , also make sure that the permissions are synchronised properly, especially as they are delegate users.

You could use PermissionBrowser.exe (in the EV installation directory) to check the permissions on the archive in question......

failing that log a case with support
