I whant to change the system mailbox from the VAC on the Mailbox task. When I clic on "Browser" this error appear.

Could not read mailbox information from AD

Ensure that the target exchange server hosts an active mailbox database

Error: There is not such object on the server

I don't know what that mean... The archiving work just fine, I can Sync all the mailboxes... but I can't change the system mailbox.

Any ideas?

Are you login as VSA? If this is a production server, I would get the dtrace before you recreate the task.

do you have an active database on the exchange server the task is pointing to?

But is an Exchange 2003, how do I check that?

that's strange. the message had verbiage eluding to Exchange 2010. if you have 2003 then that's not the case. you can try deleting the task and recreating it.

On the EV-server, login as VSA, create a mail-profile and target that system mailbox. Does that open in Outlook?

Is the mbx hidden?

We use a Power Administrator a let us choose the system mailbox. We were Exchange administrator, look like is useless
