Client Expiry report and effect of Expiry setting

I have a customer that is going to be turning on expiry.  They have been going thru a large mail cleanup phase and EV has been archiving for about a year.

Currently if the user runs an expiry report it comes up with 0 items.

How can we get that report to show what will happen in the next 45 days the day before we turn on expiry.

Legal wants to give them the ability to review before expiration so that messages could be reclassified.

This is EV9

I don't think this is possible to get as a user.

What expiry settings do you have?
Sure you have "just" a Year retention?

We've been archiving for a year but cleaning up almost 8 years of mail.  THe users have multiple zones basically one zone with a 1 year retention period.  A second zone has folders with multiple retention periods.  Anywhere from 2 years to keep forever.

So yes I do know for sure that there is mail messages that are older than 2 years stored in 1 year folders.
