Hi All,

EV2007 SP2

Is it possible for users to delete empty folders in their Archive Explorer?

Is is possible for users to move folders or items around within their Archive Explorer?

Thanks in advanced.

Cheers,

Users can not delete but you can set a reg key that will.

Thanks Michel and Tony,

Unfortunately we are using EV2007 SP2 so the reg key you talk about won't work due to the deleted item retention function in EV2007.

It would be really nice if users could deleted empty folders and move items around within their Archive. Would this be something that might be in future releases?

Thanks again,

Cheers,

Phil

It's not in the current Beta, so no. :(

I've already posted an RFE for moving items in AE, but I think this would mean some drastic changes in AE...

Try this:

In your enterprisevault\webapp.ini

(create if it does not exist)

ArchiveExplorerAllowHiddenFolders = 9

User will then be able to 'hide' the folder by right-clicking it and selecting 'Hide Folder' in AE

Note: to unhide folder rigt-click the ArchiveName at the top and select 'Show Folder"
