Deleting a File System (archive point) Archive

JuanAntonio

Hi all,

I have a folder that is also an archive point that I don't need anymore. This folder (and its content) has been being archived over the past, so it has an archive. I don't need the foder, neither the archive. How should I remove the archive? I can open the EV console, go to the "Archives" section. Then to "File Systems", look for the corresponding archive in the right pane and right click and press "Delete". Should I do something more or is this enough? Anything relating the Databases? Any other task?

Thanks in advanced.

Juan Antonio

b.Right click the share and select archive points.
c.The archive point window will pop-up and allow you to select your desiredfolder(s) and remove the archive point by selecting the folder and click the"remove" button.

IF you delete the archive you would loose the data you archived earlier>

Thanks. I'll take a look.

I don't mind to loose the data on that archive. This is what I really want.

Hi again,

What I really want to do is to remove a complete archive after restoring all the files of that archive. Is it as easy as this?

1.- Restore all the files using "fsautility -t".

2.- Open the console.

3.- Go to "Archives" and then to "File Systems".

4.- Look for the archive in the right pane.

5.- Right click the archive and press "Delete".

Is it enough? Should I do something more?

Regards.
