Different desktop policy settings for one user

PoorAdmin

I have one user in my environment who requires a different desktop policy setting than the rest of my users. Is there a way to assign this user a different desktop policy without creating another provisioning group and Exchange group etc.

you asked "without creating another provisioning group and Exchange group etc"

you still would need a different provisioning group like tony said but you could add the user object in there directly and not need a new exchange group (or security group as it's referred to)

Creating a new provisioning group and assigning the new desktop policy is the easiest way to do this and depending on what needs changed possibly the only way.

Be sure to rank the provisioning group above your default group.

What funtionality does the user require?

And you can of course copy an existing policy and just make the desired modifications for this one user. If it is just a different selection of buttons in Outlook you could always enable them via the users registry.
