Hi
In an enviroments where in the site settings we've allowed deletion of files, I've created different policies, and only users on a specific groups will be able to delete items from their VV.
My problem is that in archive explorer the delete button is available and deletes file to users on all groups (including those who are not supposed to delete).
I know that the delete button is available due to the site setting that allows deletion, but I wany to grey this button at all to all users.
WebApp.ini (in a ANSI format) with:
ISDeleteButton=0
ArchiveExplorerDelete=0
located in the right folder (c:\program file (x86)\enterprise vault)
iisreset - done several times.
IE cache was deleted on users computers
Button still available...
what am I missing?
Thanks !
Sarah.

Think this is "allowed" again in a later 8.0 SP

I once had a problem where 2008 R2 created the file as WebApp.ini.txt (hidden extensions), I know, long shot... but maybe? :D

Since I wand to allow deletion only through VV.
I'll also check if by any chance the ini file was saved as txt as suggested by Tony.
will post my results tomorrow.
