Hello,

I have to be able to answer my management the following question, so please answer me with yes or no.

Are the disconnected mailboxes ( exchange 2010 ) archived by EV ( EV 9.2).?

Thank you.

I'm aware of the procedure for leaving employees but I need to know our IS situation.

Sandrine

No, as you cannot connect to disconnected mailboxes with MAPI as far as I know.

We are talking about *disconnected* Mailboxes (Mailbox which is not associated at all with an AD Account), and not about *disabled* Mailboxes (Mailbox which is associated to a *disabled* AD Account)

You can archive *disabled* Mailboxes (Mailbox with disabled AD Account), see here:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH76587

But you cannot archive mailboxes with *disconnected* Mailboxes (Mailbox not associated to an AD Account)

Disabled just means the account is not accessible but the mailbox still exists..right?
