Discovery Acclerator Client show X after login

Hi,

I have installed a Discovery Acclerator Client. I'm able to login.

When I login, at the bottom of the screen shot is displayed as shown

connected to : Yobo:1    Services Status " Big CROSS (X)"   ev\evadmin.

Why does the Service Status show  X?

I have login to EV Admin  and go to the Application Tab-> Archive->and select Synchronize

I then click  Refresh Archive.

I did not see all the users Archive and also the Journal Achive? What Must I do to see all the Archives and how do I get it connected to one instance only say Yobo1 and how does user 1 able to see all the journal archive?


Do I need to go  the EV Journal Archive and give permission to User1 since I'm using DA Client?

Have you tried running the DA client as the service account.

If yes what do you see?

Set up 'custodians' in DA
Provision them (called 'sync with ad or something)
grant access to case to an account
use client with that account

Read the manual.
DA is a lot more complicated than it looks.

Agreed DA has some additional tweaking needed depending on the features.

Custodians is a manual process to setup.
Permissions is another one and it can be very granular depending on your needs

The DA Services is running as EV Account.

What I want you to do is to Right Click on the icon for the DA Client and select "RUN AS"
Then when prompted for username and password enter the EV Service Account and Password

When the client opens can you see everything?
