Does EV can automatically delete the archived data in my Exchange mailboxes and file server after X period of time ?

Hi,

I wonder if EV 8.0 SP4 can be used to delete the archived items in enterprise vault before I backup and then purge the old data in the EV.

Can anyone please shed some light in this matter please.

The user can access the archvied item using Ev search or archive explorer. Using browser search he can also export the items to a PST file . And administrator can export the whole archive to a PST file whenever needed.

But if the item is delete by Storage expiry it cannot be accessed by the user. 

When the vault store is closed the user can still access the data in the vault store but its just the new data is not wirtten to vault store.

If the user account and mailbox for a user is deleted, if a user have permission on the archive then the archive can be accessed and also the user can search in the archive.

you run the expiry on a set schedule to delete items that are eligible based on the retention period expiring

Ideally the retension category prevents data from getting deleted from the Vault store , Once the retention period is over Ev (storage expiry) will delete the items whoes retension period is expire. If you want to delete the shortcuts , you can also set a shortcut expiry so that shortcuts are deleted from the mailbox , but the item in the archvie still remains as per the retention policy>

That's very good and sounds like a good plan, so how does one retrieve the data / export the mailbox into PST once the Vault has been closed and the mailbox+user account has been deleted from AD ?
