We are planning to rename our domain during this year.
The plan is to create an additional domain and to move the applications one by one to the new domain.
I am wondering what consequences we have to expect with EVault.
We have one Enterprise Vault Server 8.0.3 and one Exchange Server 2007. Exchange Server is running in a cluster.
We have found out that in our Exchange constellation the renaming of the domain is not supported. Our plan is to install an additional Exchange Server and move the user mailboxes one by one to new server.
How should the Archives be handeled in EVault without losing data and offer the users also EVault with moving to the new Exchange Server. Do we need an additional EVault Server?
How can I move the Archives from the current Exchange Server to the new one? Can I access with the current EVault Server to the Exchange servers on both domains at the same time?
I thought just to create a new target and configure the new Exchange Server related to the new domain in this target. Than move the Archives from old Exchange System to the new. I am right? And how can I do that?
Are there any documents for such projects? Does anybody have done such a change?
