Dual items in mailbox after restoring Items from EV

Hi,

We have experienced the following issue - I'd be interested to hear if other people have had the same thing and what the mitigation might be.

We are restoring all the vault back to a users mailbox as we are migrating them to Microsoft BPOS, on the most part this is going fine however, we last night had an issue where the session on the server that was restoring the content crashed, leaving 5 mailboxes part-restored.

We then started the process again to finish up the restore process however, on completion we now have dual items in the users inbox where it seems the items which were already restored were restored again, thus resulting in dual messages.

We have a tool which will go through the mailbox and clean out the duplicate items however, this is a lengthy and time consuming process :(  Is there anything that can be done in EV to mitigate this should it happen again?

Unfortunately there is no specific EV tool that is in existence to remedy the situation that you have pertained to.
