Can anyone tell me how a user can determine the size (space available remaining) of their E-Vault archive? I have not been able to finding anything published in user guides, on the web, etc. I know how to find the size of a user's mailbox, but not their corresponding E-Vault archive. Quotas are going to be implemented soon and the users I support will be asking how to determine the size to see if old archived items need to be deleted before the system deletes them.
Solved! Go to Solution.

That's no possible inside the product currently.
You *could* write a webservice that did though ... and add a folder to Outlook, with a homepage set to that web service.

So you as the Admin can see the size of the archives on the usage.asp page or via the reports.

Once you enable archive limits you can set up an email to notify users:

Do:
select * from view_ListVaults
.. in the Vault Store Databases(s)
That will show you the sizes.. Have a look also at: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ev-sql-query-show-archive-size-info-and-user-mapping

Tony,
Thx for the reply. Unfortunately, I am not an Exchange server admin. I provide support to end users at several sites for CBP. I am looking for a solution the enduser can use while in Outlook. much like right-clicking their name at the top of Outlook and getting the box where they can look at folder sizes.

Hi ,
From user machine it's not possible to findout the space remaining on user archive / space used by user archive.
