EV 10 and IIS logfiles

Hi

I am at a customer site and we are running a single EV server with approx 2000 users, the C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1 is around 17GB in size and the oldest files are dating back to 2014

Can we clean up in this folder or is the log files needed for anything like the Auditing function of EV?

It's up to the customer and what they want to keep. If you're not doing any troubleshooting you can clean it up. Audiitng events are written to db.

events are only captured to a db if you have auditing enabled. if you are running out of space but think you'll need the logs then zip them and/or copy them off somewhere.

There are sometimes when it helps like looking at clientdiagnostic ping backs from vault cache syncs, usage stats etc, also sometimes it's good for showing if/when deletions occurred You could just zip them up and move them off
