EV 10 or 11 supported DR configuration ?

Hi All,

Does anyone here know what is the best way to deploy EV v 10 or even 11 across two different Data Center so that it can be used during the Disaster Recovery ?

Prefereably not using another 3rd party application.

Check EV NearSync fom QuadroTech. That comes close!

Ah, preferably not 3rd party.

Use robocopy to copy data from prod to DR

So I guess there is no builtin EV 10 or even EV 11 to do this DR capability ?

Gertjan, So with the RoboCopy

Gertjan,

So with the RoboCopy or any other Storage Array replication technology, how shall I build the EV server ?

can I use like the following setup:

Production

PROD-EV1-VM -  IP: 10.1.1.15
Index partition 1
Index partition 2
Open VaultStore partition 17
Closed VaultStore partition 16
...
Closed VaultStore partition 1

DR

DR-EV1-VM -  IP: 10.2.2.15
Index partition 1 - replicated from Prod using EMC SAN Copy
Index partition 2 - replicated from Prod using EMC SAN Copy
Open VaultStore partition 17 - replicated from Prod using EMC SAN Copy
Closed VaultStore partition 16 - replicated from Prod using EMC SAN Copy
...
Closed VaultStore partition 1 - replicated from Prod using EMC SAN Copy

is that possible ? the only thing that is unique is just the EV head server, so duirng the DR, I can just change the CNAME in the DNS server and then perform Update Service Location ?

My vote is for EVnearSync :)
