I believe a new system is being used and that has complicated getting the letter out.

Last I heard they expect the upgrade notifications to be sent by the end of this week.
If you do not want to wait Customer Care can provide the customer with a temp serial number to FileConnect so that you can access the product download.  Customer Care will then provide a temp license key to activate the product.

We still haven't gotten our 7.5 upgrade notices either. I think we're about 1 month past the last "they'll be out by the end of this week" rumor. :) Thankfully the 7.5 license files work with 7.0 so we have already upgraded to 7.5.

Hey all,

I'm sure this has been asked before but what's the difference between 7.0SP2 and 7.5?

BTW, I received the official upgrade notice for 7.5 the other day.

Thanks!
PM.

Mark,

I've been building a project plan for upgrading to 7.0 SP2, is EV 7.5 the latest version I should be going to?  We have MS office 2007 but no Exchange 2007 (yet, Q1 '08).

Thanks,
PM.

EV 2007 and EV 7.5 refer to the same release.  The official name is EV 2007 and is the latest release.

In order to ensure you receive the correct license with full features, attributes and functionality, we ask that you please re-register your serial number at Symantec's Licensing Portal, using the serial number found on your license certificate.

If you no longer have access to your license certificate, please contact Symantec Enterprise Customer Care for a license certificate reprint. Our hours and contact numbers can be found on our support website: http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/assistance_care.jsp

Once you locate your serial number from the license certificate, please follow these steps:
• Visit the Symantec Licensing Portal: https://licensing.symantec.com
• Login to the Symantec Licensing Portal
• Select "New Purchase"
• Enter the Serial number from the License Certificate
• Click Submit
• Verify and register the license and enter your email address for delivery
Your license key(s) will be emailed to you directly and stored in your catalog for future reference.

I did the re-register thing. The only change for us seems to be instead of six licenses named 6*****.slf, it is now combined into one 7*****.slf file. Still no 7.5 upgrade notice, the licensing site says 7.0 for us.
