EV- 2216 & 2217 Errors

Good morning,

I have a customer who is seeing alot of instances of Event id's 2216 and 2217 in Event Viewer:

2216:

Message dispenser will suspend processing for 10 minutes due to a recoverable error

Task: Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for "EXCHANGE_SERVER"

2217:

Message dispenser will resume processing

Task: Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for "EXCHANGE_SERVER"

In addition Status Alerts show "There has not been a mailbox synchronization with Exchange Server "EXCHANGE SERVER" since 03/07/2014 12:10"

The customer is running:

- EV 9.0.4.1097
- Exchange 2007
- EV Outlook Client (Outlook 2003 SP3)

I have performed the following troubleshooting steps:

- Verified System mailbox exists on correct Exchange server
- Performed manual synchronisation successfully
- Purged A7 (Synchronization request) queue
- Items in A1 queue appear to process but relatively slowly. Potentially items hanging around in A1, A2, A3 queues preventing A7 from processing.

- DTrace (snippet of errors):

Has anyone experienced these errors before or able to provide any insight into what might be causing the issue?
