Hi all,
I have been trying to collect useful documentation on Enterprise Vault as i have need to come up to speed on the product. So far i have checked out the files listed here:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH140747
The problem with them is that they do not offer me the low level information that i require to be able to understand and later troubleshoot EV processes. As an example the Shopping Services is discribed in the documentation as retrieving the messages and storing them in Shopping Baskets. This does not really help me understand the interplay of EV and IIS etc etc....
I have administered the product for sometime and learnt bits as I have gone on but I am now in need for a lot more in depth knowledge.
Am i missing some documentation that really describes how things really tick over?
Many thanks for any help

This would be a good start Article URL http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO37478 and
Article URL http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO37445
But really what you are looking for you would need to go to a training class for.

Thank you Tony,
I will have a thorough read of those docs and a play in a test enviroment I have now assembled. Sadly I do not have time for the training course as well im in the middle of the job now!
Many Thanks

Understood, some of the training is virtual, so if you can you might try and get that funded.
There is also this:
http://techcenter.symantec.com/ecampus/enterprise?siteName=sena&courseNo=DP6002
I would recommend it as well.
Good luck and the forum is a good resource to bounce ideas off of.
Cheers,

Those virtual labs seem rather handy I will give them a shot. I guess I have come to expect or perhaps rely too heavily on Technet / MS KB levels of readily available information.

Mike, you can always post your questions/thoughts on the forums too. Yes it would be fantastic to have Technet level information, but it's just not possible :( Time constraints meet us all.
Remember, no question is a stupid question ... the answers might be though. :)
