EV 9.0 and Exchange 2003

We have Exchange 2003 currently and would like to move to Exchange 2010, but need to wait for Exchange 2010 SP1 for EV9.0 I guess.

So, my question is can we deploy EV 9.0 while we wait for Exchange 2010 Sp1? Will EV 9.0 work with Exchange 2003 ? What Outlook versions does EV9.0 support?

Thanks

You're in luck because EV9 supports email archiving from Exchange 2003, SP1, and SP2 with the following notes:

a. For multilingual Unicode support, a Microsoft hotfix is required for Exchange Server 2003 SP1 and SP2. See
http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/279902 for details. Please note that technical note 279902 is under review
for Enterprise Vault 7.0 or later.

b. The following are required on each Windows 2003 Server on which you install the Enterprise Vault Outlook Web
Access (OWA) 2003 Extensions: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or later and Exchange Server 2003 Service
Pack 1 or later.

Outlook 2003 SP2 through Outlook 2007 SP2 are supported with the following notes:

c. See technical note 281568 at http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/281568.

d. An issue exists in Outlook 2003 SP3 and Outlook 2007, with items that have 2048 or more recipients in the TO, CC
or BCC fields, or have more than 2048 attachments. See technical note 296572 at
http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/296572. If you are likely to be affected by this issue, it is addressed by
Microsoft hotfixes. For Outlook 2003 SP3, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948073. For Outlook 2007, see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951995. The recommended registry value is 0xFFFFFFFF.

With regards to the Outlook question .. do you mean Outlook on the Enterprise Vault server, or on the end-user workstations?
